Are you ready for an epic night out in Myrtle Beach, SC? You should check out Medieval Times! Medieval Times is great family fun for your whole family! I have been a few times and we absolutely love it! We didn’t have a special occasion planned to go. This trip was very much needed with all the stress I have been going through in life. Thank you to Medieval Times for making it possible to write this review! They provided us with tickets for my family and we had an amazing time! You never need a special occasion just to have fun with your family right?
Also, don’t think for one minute it is geared just for kids. The show and dinner are for everyone. Right before the show, it is possible to get a few extra addons and packages to your dining experience. A group of recently graduated college students was there celebrating their achievements, a girl was celebrating her 21st birthday and got specially crowned by the queen, and a couple who had celebrated 40 years of marriage got a special toast from the Queen herself!
Since I am a super Digital Marketing nerd, of course, I had to go to Google and see what are the most popular questions asked about Medieval Times experiences. See below!
Medieval Times FAQ
How long is the Medieval Times show? The show lasts over 2 hours, however, you will NOT be bored. It kept my 8, 13, and 21 years old captivated the entire time. The show includes beautiful horses, a falcon demonstration, a knight tournament, and a battle between the knights to determine the victor.
What time should I arrive at the Medieval Times show? The castle doors open up 75 minutes before the show, and you will want to be early! Seating is first-come, first-served, so you will want the best seats! Also, you will be in a grand banquet hall before the show. Lots of pictures taking opportunities and get souvenirs for the adults and kiddos! You will then have a chance to upgrade your package to purchase different VIP packages. They also have a torture museum for an additional 2.00, However, it may not be kids friendly or appropriate for your little one. We arrived an hour early, and the line was already starting. It moves quickly and you won’t be disappointed if you come early!
What kind of food do they serve at Medieval Times? My dad was a little apprehensive about the food because he is picky. My 8 year old wanted to complain because she wants to eat ramen noodles 5 days a week. However, they LOVED all the food at MT. The chicken was a HUGE portion and it was so tender and flavorful. My girls ate a tomato bisque for the first time, and now are begging me to make it at home. The full menu consists of tomato bisque, toasted garlic bread, roasted chicken, herb-basted potato, sweet buttered corn, and the dessert of the castle. We had vanilla ice cream with a caramel swirl, and it was delicious! BEWARE, when you walk into the castle you are in Medieval Times! Everyone is in character, and of course, they didn’t have utensils back then, and neither will you. You don’t need them! However, if you do, kindly ask your server and they may help you out!
Is there a dress code for Medieval Times?
There is not a dress code! However, I did see a few little girls who dressed up in their princess dresses for the occasion! I saw a few adults in dresses that were appropriate for that time era, and they looked amazing! Some ladies wore a few flower hairpieces and they looked awesome. If you get there and feel out of place, don’t despair. When you are ushered into the Grand room, you can purchase all kinds of goodies for your family! Light-up swords, flower crowns, stuffed animals and more will be for sale.
How can I find discounts for Medieval Times?
Sometimes you can find Medieval Times discounts if you do a quick Google search. However, you have come to the right spot! I have a discount for, my readers!
